TRANSIT VISA

This type of visa will be issued to applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom for the following purposes :

1. To travel in transit through the Kingdom in order to proceed to the country of destination or to re-enter his/her  
own country (category "TS")

2. To participate in sports activities (sportsmen, sportswomen, etc.) (category "S")

3. The person in charge or crew of a conveyance coming to a port, station or area in the Kingdom                
(category "C")

Required documents:

1. A Passport or Travel Document (validity of not less than 6 months on the arrival date in Thailand and contain at least ONE completely empty visa page)
Important: An original passport must be submitted when applying for a visa. If you send application via post, please enclose your passport. Visa cannot be processed without the passport. Everyone must have their own passport when applying for a visa regardless of their ages.

2. A copy of passport (The page(s) that shows your photo,name,date and place of birth and the expiration date of passport)

3. A Completed and signed visa application form. (Completed and signed by the applicant.)  Children must have their own visa application and the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must sign the form on the child's behalf Click here to download.

4. 2 recent color passport photographs, 3.5x4.5 cm, front-view, must be taken within the last 6 months.

5. A copy of all onward airline tickets or e-ticket to the thrid country. (air ticket paid in full)
Note: We do not accept airlines staff card , stand by/open flight ticket.

6. A copy of recent bank statement as an evidence of adequate finance during your stay in the Kingdom.       
(400 euro per person , 800 euro per family). The statement must show the account owner's name and balance.
(Please note that only lawfully marriage couple and children (under 18 years old) can share the same bank statment. If you have a different surname in your family ,please provide additional documents such as proof of marriage /or Extract from Population System/or Birth Certificate. Documents submitted in other languages than Finnish or English must be translated into English.)

7. If applied by mail, a self-addressed stamped envelope with sufficient postage of 5-7 euro for the return of passport. (only in Finland) Return envelope fee for other countries is 10 euro. (We do not accept  international  coupon as exchange for postage.) More information for updated postal fee please check with www.posti.fi

8. Consular officers reserve the rights to request for additional document as deemed necessary and also reserve the right to reject any application without having to provide reason.

9. Please note that The Embassy does not provide photocopy service.

Visa Fee: 25 euro per entry. Applicant can apply up to 4 entries. There is no multiple entries. (Visa fee may changed without prior notice)

Visa Processing Time:
Applying in person:- Applications will be processed  within 3 days. Collection date for visa is specified on a payment receipt. Always bring the receipt and ID card when collecting a visa.

Applying through travel agents or representatives:- Applications will be processed  within 7 days.

Applying by mail:- Application are usually processed approximately within 3days. (not including mailing time) If you would like to collect passport by yourself, please inform in writen.

Note:Do not apply visa more than 2 months in advance.

Visa Opening/Collecting hours: Monday-Friday between 9.00-12.00. Closed on Thai and Finnish Publish holidays. Please check our holidays list before visiting.

Validity of stay and Period of stay :
Validity of visa: Single entry visa has 3 months validity.
Transit visa 2,3, and 4 entries has validity of six months.

Period of Stay: The traveller will be allowed to stay for the period of not exceeding 30 days per EACH entry. There is no multiplies entries for transit visa. Please note that the visa must be used before the "Enter Before" date which is written on the visa page.
