TOURIST VISA

This type of visa will be issued to applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom of Thailand for tourism purposes.

Required documents:

1. A Passport or Travel Document (validity of not less than 6 months on the arrival date in Thailand and contain 
at least ONE completely empty visa page)
Important: An original passport must be submitted when applying for a visa. If you send application via post, please enclose your passport. Visa cannot be processed without the passport. Everyone must have their own passport when applying for a visa regardless of their ages.

2. A copy of Passport (The page(s) that shows your photo, name, date and place of birth and the expiration date
of passport)

3. A Completed and signed visa application form. (Completed and signed by the applicant.)  Children must have their own visa application and the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must sign the form on the child's behalf Click here to download.

4. 2 recent color passport photographs, 3.5 x 4.5 cm, front-view, must be taken within the last 6 months.

5. A copy of airline ticket or e-ticket.(air ticket paid in full). If you wish to obtain 2 or 3 entries, please note that you must show all full paid flight tickets entering Thailand for every entry. If you have only one flight ticket entering Thailand for one time, we will issue only one/single entry visa for you. Please print the page that shows e-ticket numbers.
Note: We do not accept airlines staff card , stand by/open flight ticket.


6. A copy of recent bank statement as an vidence of adequate finance during your stay in the Kingdom        
( 400 euro per person and 800 euro per family)
(Please notet that only lawfully marriage couple and children (under 18 years old) can share the same bank statment. If you have different surname in your family ,please provide additional documents such as proof of marriage/or Extract from Population System/or Birth Certificate. Documents submitted in other languages than Finnish or Finnish must be translated into English.)

7. If applied by mail, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope with sufficient postage for the return of
passport. We do not accept cash as a payment for postal fee.

If applied by mail from outside Finland, Return envelope fee for other countries is 10 euro.(We do not accept  international  coupon as exchange for postage.) If there are more than 5 passports,to be returned, please enclose adequate fees for postal payment.

8. Consular officers reserve the rights to request for additional document as deemed necessary and also reserve the right to reject any application without having to provide reason.

9. Please note the the Embassy does not provide photocopy service.

Validity of visa and Period of stay
Validity: One/Single entry tourist visa is valid for 3 months.
Two/Three entries tourist visa is valid for 6 months.

Period of stay: Travelers with this type of visa will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period not exceeding 60 days per EACH entry, begin on the first date of arrival in Thailand. Please note that the visa must be used before the "Enter Before" date which is written on the visa page.

Extension of stay
For the traveler who obtained tourist visa and wish to stay longer or may wish to change their visa type must fill an application for permission at the nearest immigration office where they are staying. (http://www.immigration.go.th/) The extension of stay should be done one week before the last permitted date mentioned on the immigration 's stamp in your passport. The extension of stay as well as the change of certain type of visa is solely at the discretion of the Immigration officer.
